Approved indications
- In adults, alternative local treatment of second- or third-degree burns, skin infections, and preparation of graft surfaces when bacterial contamination threatens the graft.
Contraindications
Absolute
- Hypersensitivity to nitrofural or any excipient.
Clinical warnings

Rare but serious
In patients with renal dysfunction, progressive renal impairment with increased BUN, anion gap, and metabolic acidosis due to macrogol accumulation; unknown frequency
Pregnancy and lactation
During pregnancy, use only if benefit justifies potential risk. During breastfeeding, decide whether to continue or stop breastfeeding or treatment according to benefit and risk.
